Laurine &Jim Einfeld send their thank you for the card & for the congregation’s care, concern, & prayers, during the crisis of the family business going up in flames.

With the faithful work of Darryl Melnyk, some additional mobile mics have been purchased as part of a larger upgrade to our sound system. This will mean that the altar party will be experimenting a little over the next few weeks with our bodily placement during the liturgy. Please bear with us as we work out some new choreography.

Pentecost is on May 11th. You re invited to wear red in celebration of the descending fire of the Holy Spirit.

This Tuesday, at 7:30pm, some representatives of the diocese will be visiting to consult with us on the diocesan budget of 2009. The hope is that as many people as possible will be consulted, not only vestries. Please consider participating so that we can continue to develop a common vision for our diocese.

There are still CDs available of “Sentimental Journey” by the Khartum Temple Orchestra. Any one interested can obtain a copy from the office with a contribution to the Building Fund.

St. Matthews Maryland Community Ministry’s April Wish List - See blue bin by coffee area. For information, contact Barbara Bater or Margaret Jones.

I have posted a sign-up sheet in the hall for anyone who would like to help out with baking, preparing fruit trays (we will be starting quite early as we need to be at the site – close to Jefferson & Adsum- by 9:30 a.m.) & serving at the site.
