Prayers for Peace & Justice: Every Thurs. morning, an ecumenical group meet at 9 am (note change of time) in St. Matthew/Maryland Community Ministry to give prayer support to Peace & Justice ministries, modeled on Iona prayer.

On Saturday, Nov. 1st at 7:30 pm, All Saints’ Anglican Church choir will present Haydn's Nelson Mass (Missa in Angustiis) as a tribute to the choral tradition of the parish. In a celebration of the parish's 125 years, this amazing piece will be performed with soloists and orchestra.

Your Diocese of Rupert's Land Stewardship Council is committed to being there. Community Economic Development (CED) Gathering & Pancake Breakfast This year you have the incredible opportunity to attend two of Canada's biggest CED events right here in Winnipeg! On Nov. 28th, start with a pancake breakfast to celebrate Winnipeg’s inner-city and then head over to the 2008 CD/CED Gathering for a full day of learning, networking and inspiration!

7 – 10 am LITE's 12th Annual Wild Blueberry Pancake Breakfast at the Indian and Métis Friendship Centre (45 Robinson, at Dufferin). This community-partner catered breakfast is a celebration of CED in Winnipeg’s inner city and is a highlight of the LITE campaign.

9:30 – 4 pm The 2008 CD/CED Gathering! Join others engaged in all aspects of community economic development for a full day of networking, learning, sharing, and inspiration. Sunday, November 30th at 4:30 pm, All Saints' will present their 56th Advent Procession with Carols. A tradition in the parish which has become a "must see and hear" for many. Throughout this service the choir moves from west to east, from "darkness" to "light." You will experience a vivid presentation in word and song of the Coming of our Lord. Come and help us celebrate 125 years of Ministry and Music.

Order of St. Luke is sponsoring the course Going Deeper which is a learning resource for Nurturing Your Christian Healing Ministry. It is an exciting program that will be offered if there are enough interested people in the Diocese. You do not need to be a member of the Order of St. Luke, just have an interest in the healing ministries. There is an online course starting up on October 20 called Baptism, Ministry and the Gospel: Including Everyone in Ministry and Mission , running October 20 – December 14, 2008. Throughout the Anglican Church, from New Zealand to North Dakota, congregations are transforming themselves into communities of mission and ministry without full-time ordained leadership. The American Guild of Organists, sister guild of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, has declared June 2008 – June 2009 to be the International Year of the Organ. To celebrate, Organ Spectacular Concerts are being held today at hundreds of venues all over the world. Winnipeg's Organ Spectacular is being presented at St. Andrew's Anglican Church (Woodhaven) 2700 Portage Avenue this afternoon at 3 pm featuring Russell Greene on organ and The Rev. Tony Harwood-Jones on clarinet.

Tickets are available for the Annual Bishop’s Dinner, Oct. 21, 2008, with quest speaker Dr. Eleanor Johnson, Former Director of Partnerships. Contact Anglican Centre for tickets or more information.

Once again we had another successful Fall Garage Sale thanks to the many workers who make this project happen twice a year. A special thank you to the many who help with the clean up.
