Today we are taking part in the “Silent Night” Project to promote God’s peace and love in the world. After today’s service we will be filmed singing the carol Silent Night. All videos will be compiled into a documentary, to be put online by Christmas. This plan also includes collecting “Toonies” to support the work of Anglican Military Chaplains who work among the men and women of the Canadian Forces. Please give generously!

Advent Banner: The candle represents the coming of the light of Christ. A laurel wreath surrounds the candle representing a victor’s crown which welcomes the Advent of Christ the King. The blue background is a royal color and depicts preparation and healing. Blue also recalls Mary and her role in a time of expectation, waiting and preparation.
The Advent Wreath is full of symbolism. Round for eternity as the nature of God; green boughs for eternal life; red berries recall the blood of Christ shed for our redemption
