A couple known to St. Matthew's-Maryland Community Ministry is expecting a baby in the next couple of weeks. They have recently discovered that the crib available to them is not considered safe. They don’t have the financial resources available to replace the crib. Does anyone know of a crib that could be made available to them? Garage Sale Volunteer’s Needed! – Come dressed to work next Sunday, April 25th. Help is needed after the service with setting up Sherstone Hall for our Garage Sale. We also need help to unpack and display items for the sale. Volunteers will be here from 9 am – 3 pm Monday-Thursday (April 26-29) and also Monday evening from 6-9 pm. Come and join us!!

St. Mary Magdalene has raised $3526 towards our partnership in Central Buganda. $350 of this amount is designated to the “Don’t be a Loon” campaign leaving us $3176 towards the Bungee Jump! The challenge goal was $3000 so it looks like Preston will be Jumping in July!


The Diocese would like your input into what makes a Parish Viable & Vital. The Vestry will be working on this at the April meeting but we would like to hear from you as well. Please take the time to fill out the blue sheets on the back table to give input into this project!


Project Peacemakers Annual Eco-Friendly Dinner, Wednesday April 21, 6:30 pm at the Untied Church in the Meadowood, 1111 Dakota St. Music, Speakers, Fun and Food. Tickets $10, children $5. Call 775-8178 for tickets. Tickets will NOT be available at the door.


Bible & Breakfast venue change: The event will be held at St. John’s College, 92 Dysart Road, U of M Campus on April 24th, 9:00-11:00 am.

A Gathering in Honour of The Reverend Robert Osborne, retiring Dean of Rupert’s Land and Rector of St. John’s Cathedral will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010, at St. John’s Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave. 5:00 pm service; 6:15 pm pig roast; 7:15 pm program and presentation. Come for part or join festivities in progress. All are welcome but please sign up at the back of the church if you plan to attend. There is no charge for the dinner. Donations are being accepted toward a gift (‘purse’) for Bob & Janice and should be sent to the Diocese Office by April 1st.
