Nominations now being received for THE ORDER OF RUPERT'S LAND which was established in 1984 by the Bishop of Rupert's Land. It is given in recognition of outstanding support and leadership in the Church. If you know someone whom you feel should be considered for this honour, please obtain a nomination form from the Diocesan Office. (Call 992-4200 or e-mail to general@rupertsland.ca). Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's First National Event on the Legacy of the Indian Residential School System. The event will be held at The Forks on June 16 - 19, 2010 and will provide a great opportunity for the general public to learn about the residential school system as an important part of Canadian history, and an opportunity to honour residential school Survivors. Please note that the event is free and open to all. The Bishop would like Anglican presence at this event and encourages as many lay people to attend as possible.
