Announcements
Welcome children and families! Today Sunday School resumes for the year. Children ages 3+ are welcome to join us for learning, fun and friendship! If you are new to the church, please accompany your child to Sunday school to fill in a registration form. There is also an unsupervised nursery for parents of children under three available with ample toys, books and a changing table for infants. Changing tables for babies are located in both the upstairs and downstairs washrooms.
September 26th is “Back to Church Sunday”. Please invite your friends and family. Invitation cards are available on the back table.
September 26th is also Harvest Thanksgiving Sunday. Please help decorate the church by volunteering and bringing in produce to on September 25th after 10:00 am.
Bible study will begin this Wednesday, Sept 15th, at noon in the Conference Room.
Volunteers are needed for the role of Sidesperson. Please speak to Eleanor Henderson for details, phone 255-4259
Weekly Exercise Classes are beginning October 6-December 8th, 11:00-12:00 pm, in the upper hall. The Vital Seniors are bringing us the P.A.C.E. Program (People with Arthritis Can Exercise). Instructor Anne Cruse will teach the class which is specially designed to help with flexibility, range of motion and endurance. Sitting and standing exercises will help relieve stiffness and improve posture. Fee $30.00. Call Bernice Taylor 253-9244 for more information.
Parish Fall Garage Sale will be held Oct 1-2. Now Accepting donations! Please place all items in the designated area at the back of the lower hall. All hands are needed for this Parish Fundraiser. In addition to donations, your help is needed on:

September 27-30 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm for sorting and pricing
October 1st & 2nd for the actual sale.
October 2nd at 12 noon for clean-up after the sale.

Public Lecture on Palliative Care: Hospice & Palliative Care Manitoba is pleased to announce the following lecture, offered as part of our 19th Annual Palliative Care Conference, is open to the public: Euthanasia and Palliative Care: Don't Confuse the Two. Dr. Jose Pereira will make the case that palliative care does not hasten death and that euthanasia is not an element of palliative care. He will also make the case that safeguards to prevent abuse of euthanasia are not possible. Limited seating. Tickets available for a nominal price of $5. Lecture takes place at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington Avenue, on Thursday September 23rd.
