Join us for a reception in honour of the confirmands after this mornings service.
This year’s Easter offering will be directed to assist individuals in Africa and the Middle East to reunite with families here in Manitoba and the Jubilee fund which operates mainly in Winnipeg. The Jubilee Fund advocates economic opportunity for all members of society, through loan guarantees for community economic development. It deals in three areas : affordable housing, small business and community/social projects mainly daycares and training centres. Our parish has supported the Fund annually since 2000.
Sunday May 1st: Please join us in celebration of our confirmands Luc, Amadea, Jen, Alicia and Sophie and for Barbara for reception into the Anglican church. The Bishop will be joining us and refreshments will be served after the service. All are welcome!
Brian Rivers will be ordained on June 1st, 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Cathedral. You may remember Brian and his wife Karen from Brian’s ministry placement with us.
“Many hands make light work”
Today we will be setting up the upper hall following the celebration of the new confirmands.
Help is needed all week to set up table displays. If you still have items for sale please bring them as early in the week as possible. Workers are here from 9am to 3:30 pm daily.
Tia McGraff is an international Country recording artist, currently #25 on
the Nashville International Indie charts with "Radical Road". She is a high
school friend, who has offered to do a benefit series for Winnipeg community
ministry projects. May 6 - at St Paul's Fort Garry - for St Matthew's Maryland Community
Ministry, May 7 - at Holy Rosary Osborne Village - for Oak Table Community Ministry
